Tripadviser_2014_Houseboat_Tante_PietAllow yourself to relax in Amsterdam

Just off the beaten track, one mile from Amsterdam Central Station, you will find Houseboat Tante Piet, that provides everything you need for a relaxing but yet original vacation. It has character, is homely, relaxed and you will experience a great feeling of freedom staying on a boat in the middle of Amsterdam!

Original vacation

What is so special about renting this houseboat? Although it is cosy, beautiful and in the center of Amsterdam it has an extra element that makes it the best bed and breakfast boat you have ever heard of: Sietske, the lady-owner. Tante Piet is her house and she likes to share her home with you. With her, you feel comfortable and will be treated as a special guest. You can come and go as you like, early morning or deep at night. She also loves to tell you about the city, events and interesting places.

To share or not to share

The living room, kitchen and shower are shared with Sietske and for you to use freely. In wintertime you can enjoy the comfortable warmth of the wood burner snuggled up on the couch. A cat named Boobie lives aboard and will come and join you.

This cosy houseboat is suitable for a maximum of 4 guests. Do keep in mind that the boat is 65 sq meters.

The garden

The garden is there to enjoy breakfast, a drink or even a campfire. After a day strolling through the busy center of Amsterdam, 15 minutes by foot, it is wonderful to come home and relax in the garden. Especially because you can enjoy the sun from morning till evening. A secret joke is to greet all passersby as if you’ve lived on the ship for years!

Sietske Verhoeven - Hostess Houseboat Tante PietAbout Sietske

Let me introduce myself to you, my name is Sietske and coming from a small town, I moved to Amsterdam 12 years ago. Riding my bike I explored the city, what is still one of my favorite things to do. Doing so, I discovered many beautiful places which I would love to share with you. Please ask me anything you like, about Amsterdam, Dutch traditions and food, festivals and other activities or let me be your guide on my canal boat.

Welcome on board, hope to see you soon!
